was the Torah present during the time of Samuel?

(Previously in Israel, a person would say when he went to inquire of God, "Come on! Let's go to the seer!" because the person known as a prophet today was formerly called a seer.) (1 Samuel 9:9)

-------------------

the aboive saying seems to confirms that during the time of Samuel the Torah of Moses was not present with them. Notice how the above says " PREVIOUSLY IN ISRAEL" that is in the past, secondly if a man wanted to inquire of God he will go to a seer! Now known as a prophet?

What's fascinating about the above verse is that had Samuel known of the Torah of Moses then he would of seen the word Prophet is mentioned many times not seer! In fact the word seer is only found in the book of Samuel?

-------------

Was Samuel not aware of the much controversial passage from Deuteronomy 18

I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. (Deuteronomy 18:18 Masoretic Torah)

Here we read Yahweh saying he will raise a PROPHET (נָבִ֨יא) Nabi not SEER. That was one of many many other verses which speaks of Prophets and nowhere is seer mentioned that's according to the Masoretic.

In short 1 Samuel 9:9 the word “Prophet” was not used before Samuel the prophet, yet we find the word “prophet” all through the Torah, indicating we don’t have the “real” law of Moses. This tells us that the original Torah was not with Samuel !
